Guests posting wedding pics on facebook

How do y'all feel about this? My fiance (who doesn't have fb) is very passionate about telling guests to please not post pics on fb at the wedding. He doesn't want our first pics as a married couple to be low-quality pics from someone's iPhone. Thoughts??

I'm on the side of your FH...I'm not a huge FB person anyway and I really don't like the idea of our first wedding pictures being posted for tons of randoms to see. I feel like it's a personal day and should be kept that way.

But I think ppl just have different preferences. I agree that candid shots are some of the best, but send them to the Bride and Groom.

Thank you Robin!!! I think I def want the ceremony unplugged, nothing more distracting to everyone than people holding up their camera and taking pics while the officiant is speaking. As far as the reception goes, snap away!

Our officiant will ask everyone to turn off their cells and refrain from taking pictures during the wedding. We know guest will want personal pix at the reception, but we will have signs around, "We would love to see your pictures of the reception and have a designated site to upload them. www.xxxx.com Please respect our privacy and do not post pictures of the reception on social media. Thank You"

We will also notify each person personally prior to the wedding via email or cell. It is becoming more common that people do not want their faces plastered all over social media and I think we will see more and more weddings making these kind of request.

I didn't care as long as it wasn't pictures of me before the wedding.. Anytime during or after was fine.. Facebook, Instagram etc.. I got a lot of pictures from that since I didn't use my phone or take any pics myself.
