Guestlist format?

Rachel, on January 8, 2016 at 11:26 AM Posted in Planning 0 15

Do any of you know a good format or website that I can use to keep track of RSVP's, addresses and such? I love the weddingwire.com guest list, but I want a hard paper copy.

Anyone know of a program, website, or format that I can use to print them off?

I used Excel online. I think the WW guest list thing allows you to download a copy (which you can print).

I googled an excel template for that and it's pretty awesome actually. I'll try to find the site and post the link here.

Here it is! Has a handy little tracker of # of guests invited, confirmed attending, and awaiting reply for when you start sending invites.

Whatever you end up using, I recommend first deciding if you're going to use an envelope printing service or wedding wire's seating chart tool. I decided to buy my envelopes off Minted because they will print the addresses for free but in order to import my excel spreadsheet, they have a very specific way the columns need to be set up. It would have been easier if I had known this ahead of time because I didn't have it set up the way they wanted.

@Kaylie, I used Minted.com as well. I typed my address list THREE times because nothing I used (my original Excel file, WW, & Minted) had them in the same format! Serious PIA!

We also used an Excel spreadsheet hosted on Google Drive. Drive was really great because it meant we both had access to it at all times. Our columns were: Name(s) (we did one household per line), address (split into different columns to make mail merge easy, usually hid this to make it easier to see the other columns), # invited, # attending, # invited to rehearsal dinner, # attending rehearsal dinner, table number, dietary restrictions, gift, date thank you sent. We filled in RSVP #s as they came in and highlighted missing rsvps once the reply date got close.

I am using the the WW guest list but I am just getting started. I love the online RSVP with it and my website. The only thing I don't like is it doesn't a sections for gifts.

A practical wedding has a workbook you can download with excel sheets for guest list, budget, vendors, etc. I use it often

I have a physical wedding planner book I got from Barnes & Noble. Among the many things it includes is a guest list with an area to mark off RSVPs. Also includes a seating chart.
