Guestbook Idea

Shannon, on March 30, 2019 at 8:54 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10

I'm thinking about making a photobook on shutterfly for our guestbook. I had an idea of putting not only pictures of FH and I, but including some of our favorite pictures we have with our guests. I like the idea of mixing it up since we'll have a wedding album of pictures of just us so I thought it would be cool to mix it up. Is that weird or a good idea?

It’s a good idea!! I also saw where people leave a Polaroid out and tape and they tape their pic in the book and write a message to bride and groom

It seems weird to me, but if that’s what you want go for it!
I made our guest book from Shutterfly using our engagement pictures! I love how it turned out. I used a free book code, for free unlimited pages, and used 50% code for upgraded lay flat pages. I got a 30 page book for less than $20 including shipping

I truly think you should do whatever you think is best for your guestbook. Personally, I love this idea. I think it is great. However I also don't want an obnoxious guest book so this is definitely something I would do.

I think this idea is great, plus if it's what you want go for it!!! I got a new InstaMax so we might do a Polaroid guest book, or we are considering printing one of our favorite pictures from our engagment shoot and framing it to have our guest sign.

We are actually planning to do the same thing! I have been putting one together on Shutterfly Our only concern is that we are having trouble making sure we have a picture with each of our guests and we are afraid we will offend people if we miss someone. So, we are just trying to figure out a tactful way of handling that.

I had the same concern and that's why I wasn't sure if it was a good idea. I figure not everyone will look at it or have time to find their picture!

Ya, hopefully that...or we were thinking that we might include a little note that acknowledges our failure and invites people to take a picture with us that evening. We were thinking of having framed instructions that say something like

    Dearest Family and Friends,

In lieu of a traditional guest book, we have created a book full of some of our favorite photos! Feel free to peruse through the book and if you see your face, please sign nearby. If we managed to miss you, we are so sorry! Sign anywhere you please, and we would love to correct our mistake and get a photo with you tonight!

    Love,

    Amelia and Tony

I think I used a monogram generator and uploaded it as a picture. So I must have used a picture cover
