Hello ladies! What is the proper etiquette for inviting co-workers? FH has been told you are supposed to invite your boss but I was under the impression if you invite one co worker it spirals into inviting your whole department. Did you all invite co workers? How did you narrow it down? We have just been invited to his co worker's wedding which doesn't make it any easier...

I invited my direct team, not my boss though & not anyone else. Working with people directly for so long they do become your friends & they'll really appreciate the invite. ( less than 10 for a wedding of about 150)

Honestly most people see their work friends more than their other friends!

Do you really want your boss to meet drunk uncle Joe? I prefer not to mix my work life with family like. There's somethings that I can't control.

I know it's often a popular way to cut the guest list, but both FH and I have lots of friends from work - hang out with them outside of work, too, and we can't imagine not inviting them. I wish I could invite more, we have such a large department.

No. I'm inviting 1 co-worker. But I've also been friends with her since 6th grade.

We are only inviting those we spend time with outside of work. One from his job, 2 maybe 3 from mine plus their spouses.

We're not inviting any. Can't afford it/ not worth it as others have said, none of them are any I've hung out with outside of work. I do feel bad when they all ask me stuff though :/

Omg. The thought of inviting my boss actually made my stomach turn. I can't stand her...lol! I am only inviting one co-worker that I am very good friends with outside of work. We are not inviting anyone else from our jobs.

I'm inviting my boss and the owner of the company I work for. It's a small dog walking company and I'm very close with both of them. My boss was one of the first people I told that I was going to propose haha though I needed to make sure that she didn't schedule me for that night Smiley smile

I'm inviting several co-workers because we're close. There's no real rule on this, except that you don't want to do anything related to your wedding that is going to cause problems at work. There is no rule regarding your boss either.

I didn't invite any current coworkers, but a lot of previous coworkers (I've worked in a lot of bars...) are on my guest list. Now that I work in an office it seems a little harder to invite just some and not all.

I've worked at the same place for a long time and have quite a few "outside the office" friendships with some of my coworkers, so those are the only ones we invited. I work for a fairly large company, so there's no way I could have invited my whole department or even just my whole team.

We both invited a lot of our coworkers, and many of them came. He has worked at the same company for 24 years and I have been at mine about 12 if I had not left for a bit. I love most of them, and was glad they came and shared our day.
