Guest book...

Do you have to have one? I don't know if I even care or if I want to put the time into making something. I didn't want a normal guest book because I know I'll never look at it again.

We are having a local pottery place make us a large bowl. Guests will sign with special markers. After the wedding, pottery place will clear glaze and fire it. We end up with a serving dish that will remind us of our wedding and guests each time we use it. It will also look nice displayed in our dining room!

We're doing the shutterfly.com book. You can customize it with pictures (using our e-pics too) and different spaces and wish areas that make it more personable. Since I got a free one with my purchase at David's bridal its budget friendly and like. A coffee table book. They gave us 20 free prints with our order too.

We chose to have a custom guest book created by an Etsy vendor. Once the guest sign it, we plan to hang it above our mantle.

We are ordering our initials monogrammed. You can get them painted already but I am going to paint ours. Guests sign + add a ribbon and hang as art in our house/hallway/living room or above the bed!

I just bought my guest book from guestbookstore.com today. I like it, because

It prompts people what to write and I can add pictures. I hope the quality is good!

Since I collect vinyl records, we were originally going to have guests sign some 45's that I bought off of eBay, and we were going to frame them and hang them in our game room. However, I ran across a different idea on Pinterest that I loved, and it killed two birds with one stone. So, now we are going to have a calendar set up, and our guests are going to be instructed to sign their name on their birth day. This way, we have everybody's birthdays to hold on to as well.
