My FH BM is a woman and she will be wearing the same style of dress as my BP but in black to match the mens suits...men will be wearing yellow ties and she will have a yellow sash knotted in a bowtie to match the gents. Im so excited to see these visions come to life

I had friend who one Bride's Man and a Man of honor. My FH may want to do this. You could always get female cut tux.

I have a Man of Honor, and he will be wearing the same thing as the Best Man and Groomsman.

Awwww, I love this. I like the idea of the grooms-woman wearing the same color dress as the groomsmen suits. Or like @Gina P. said, you can get a female cut tux (like Carrie Bradshaw in Sex in the City at Stanford's wedding).

I've been to a wedding where the groomswoman wore the same color, but different style of the bridesmaid dresses. Also, she carried a bouquet. I would ask her what she would like to do!

We have a groomswoman in our BP as well as a man of honour. The groomswoman will be wearing a dress in the same fabric/length as the bridesmaids, but in black to match the men. I think we are going with a wrist corsage for her instead of a bouquet - not only is it cheaper, but she has a 3 year old and will have a 2 month old at the wedding - so having her hands free as much as possible will probably be in her best interest.

I totally agree that she should stand on his side - I think the BP members should stand on the side they represent regardless of their sex.
