Groom's wedding ring

Teeny, on April 19, 2022 at 2:11 PM Posted in Wedding Attire 2 13
I designed my fiance's ring based on what I know he wanted when we looked, but didn't exist. It has come in!!! Now I don't know what to do. He had no idea I was getting his ring, has no idea I HAVE the ring, (probably assumed he'd be buying it himself). Now what?! Should I show him? If so should I make it like a special date night and give it to him? Or do I make him wait til the wedding? I figured he'd need to at least try it on, but I want to give it to him some cool way. Any ideas?!

I feel like you should do it before the wedding just because i think it would be more practical for him to try it on and see if it needs adjustment in sizing.

Any ideas how I should do it? It feels like a special thing 😅. I feel like if I'm just like... here is your ring! That I'm not doing it right haha.

There isn't really a "right" way to do it. You could give it to him over a nice dinner or a night out, or you could just sit down together and say "I got you something special" and give it to him there. I definitely would recommend giving it to him ahead of the wedding to make sure it fits right. I love surprises, but having a ring not fit and then having to keep track of it with all the other wedding festivities going on would be a pain.

I'm that corny person who celebrates national boyfriend day or national husband day haha. i just think it's cute, you don't need a particular holiday to celebrate your partner though but if you're looking for an actual thing to use as such then April 23rd is national lover's day or May 1 is global love day.

Ooooo!!!! Nice! I actually planned on showing it to him on top of a mountain last weekend and forgot it 😭. So mad at myself. These dates could work!

I custom designed my partner’s ring and he has said he can wait until the wedding to see it. (He’s tried it on blindfolded to make sure it fits) I’ve decided to show it to him the week of the wedding - we’re going to get our marriage license that week and go to one of our favorite restaurants for lunch afterwards so I’m going to show it to him then. 🥰

Awww that's sweet ❤️ great idea!!! I'm not sure if I can wait hehe. Especially bc the whole concept that I even got him the ring is a surprise in itself. I kinda want to just lay it on him and see his face 😂

I did not think I could wait this long, haha, I’ve wanted to show him so many times, but now our license appointment is in just one week! But yeah he also knew I ordered his ring, I can’t imagine waiting to even tell him that!

I designed my partner's ring and re-proposed to him. I bought all his favorite treats and candies and left him a note and put the ring on his favorite tub of ice cream in the freezer. He knew I was ordering it but not when it was coming in. He decided to wear it full-time as soon as I got it in.

That's a super cute idea. This is kind of along the lines what I'm thinking. Like he asked me and I'll re-ask him just because. 😜

When my FH's ring came in I was literally like "Here, try it on so we know it fits" lol. Of course, that's just me and my romantic abilities. You can of course, make it more special if you want, but I do definitely suggest having him try it on so that you know it fits before the big day!!

I got my partner's ring custom designed too and did a scavenger hunt around the house for it with themed trivia questions for our dating anniversary.

I'm kinda cheesy like that, but it did end up being super memorable (we also did it last year when people were mostly staying home due to the pandemic anyway, so I was just trying to find ways to have fun at home, haha).
