How much in average the the groom’s wedding band costs? Is the bride traditionally supposed to buy it?

We paid $610 which i know is probably on the higher end of the spectrum. We decided to go to the same small, family owned boutique jeweler where my FH designed my engagement ring. 14k white gold comfort fit band with milgrain edge and we’re oxidizing it. FH and i are paying for our wedding ourselves so the rings are included in the expense. I know we could have chose something less expensive, but I searched and couldn’t find anything that compared to the quality that they had. We’re splurging on rings because after the wedding is done all we will have from that day will be the memories, photos and the rings we chose.

I'm most likely getting mine from Jared's where my fiance got mine. Although he's wanting a ruber ring for work.

That is pretty expensive. We got a 14k white gold comfort fit band with milgrain edging for $168. We aren't oxidizing it though.

We're doing completely custom rings and it'll probably come to about $700 for his.
I think the couple decides who buys the rings o their own. My fiance is buying both because we used my grandmothers ring for the engagement and he wanted to buy the bands.

I haven’t bought FH’s ring yet but the estimates I got were around $175-200 for a plain white gold 5mm band. We decided that since FH bought my rings (engagement ring came with wedding bands included), I should buy his ring. So it will come out if my personal account instead of the joint wedding account.

I paid $68 for a rose gold over silver band with diamonds for the wedding and then for special occasions my FH does construction and we didn't want to spend that much, but he has a tungsten ring he wears to work

$550 for a 4 mm 14k white gold band from our local jeweler. The nice thing about buying local, at least for us, is that sizing and replating is included in that price.

My FH picked his own tungsten ring, I think it was about $60.00. He didn’t want anything fancy and was more concerned with getting something he wouldn’t scratch up or break working with his hands (that and budget since we are paying for most of the wedding ourselves).
Obviously there’s a lot of variation. One of my friends and her husband got matching rings, which I thought was really cute, but they also spent quite a bit because they are custom (hers looks like it was cut out of his- if that makes sense). Everyone has s different taste and priorities, so it’s really up to the two of you.

I wish my FH could have found a
ring for less than $500. The one we’re getting is a little over $3k 😫😫

My fiancé and I bought matching wedding bands... £50 for the set, including the display box and etching. They're sterling silver and we have our names etched on the inside of one another's bands, so could easily have cost us hundreds, but we bought them in a country where they charge for the weight of the metal over the branding of the jewellery!

$150-$500 seems to be standard, but, as other comments have shown, this varies wildly!

I paid around six or seven hundred for my husband’s band. It was just a plain platinum band.

I paid just about $1000 for the band FH chose. He paid $2500 for my engagement ring and $600 for my wedding band that I chose. I paid $350ish to get it resized and restored. (Vintage wedding band set with Sapphire and diamonds)

I paid around 200 - 250 for his. I did want him to choose so he has something he definitely likes. I ordered his off manly bands! They have a wide price range on the website and it’s good quality!
