Groom white tie, groomsmen black ties

So my husband wore a silver tie and the groomsmen/bride's man wore a red tie. I think it looked very nice. I don't see why it wouldn't look nice with the groom wearing a white tie and the groomsmen wearing a black tie. It was actually recommended by the consultant that my husband wore a white or silver tie to match my dress and to stand out from the groomsmen. Have you tried Googling it? I also posted a photo from my wedding to give you an idea of what two different tie colors look like together.
