Greenhouse wedding?

Every greenhouse I have been in was incredibly humid and uncomfortable, so I would take that into consideration if that is the case with the greenhouse you are considering. I wouldn't want myself or my guests to have to endure that.

Agreed. When I think greenhouse I think hot and humid. My hair hates humidity! And honestly, even think of yourself... You're going to be in a dress and its going to be hot. I wore my dress for a couple hours this weekend and was sweating by the end. And that was in my own house! I can't imagine a greenhouse!

I appreciate the advice, I had not thought about the humidity! They do host weddings often, so I will inquire about if they have climate control!

I have seen pictures from greenhouse weddings, they seem so unique and pretty if done correctly!

It really is beautiful, and its in a park so the photo possibilities are endless. Its definitely in our top 3 picks, so I will find out about climate control and go from there....

I echo what someone said about making sure they have proper climate control but also think of any guests with allergies. I would ask the venue if they've had an issue with that.

I think it depends on the time of year, prob summer months it will really hot and humid.

Never heard of it, but if done in spring or fall may not be bad venue. Definitely would have flowers

Seems like it would need to be more of a greenhouse theme then an actual greenhouse. The flowers and humidity would make it super uncomfortable.

What is the weather like in April where you are? If it's very warm, I would say no. However, I have been to three greenhouse weddings in the Fall and Spring and they were wonderful! Not too hot or cold and absolutely beautiful.

I'm getting married at a botanical garden (it's basically a huge greenhouse). They do weddings there almost every weekend. I chose November to get married so it will be cooler outside (I'm in RI so it could be downright cold). I also talked to them about it, and they are fine with us opening up the doors if it starts to get too hot.

If you can find a place that is willing to work with you, then it can be really beautiful!

It would be really hot and your guests will sweat.

Humid, frizzy hair and sweat in places where you don't want it.

Just updating yall..... not that you really care anymore lol this post is so old. But we did end up doing the greenhouse wedding! the temp was perfect, and no humididty! luckily the temp was controlled for the wedding, and it actually ended up SNOWING outside lol. it made for perfect pictures. and all the guests kept raving about how beautiful it was. So happy we chose it!
