Great diy ideas?

I'm a craft person so I'm doing as much as I can. It will save on cost and be personalized to my likes 😊

I DIY'd our welcome sign, but other than that I only DIY'd our flowers. We ordered real flowers in bulk from Sams Club so the week before the wedding I was putting things together! Saved a TON of money, like thousands, and it was exactly what I wanted.

I did a lot of DIY for my first wedding. I did my own flowers (I used artificial ones from Michael's), table decorations, runners, ceremony decorations, favors, programs, invitations, etc. I used Michael's 40% off coupons on a regular basis, buying things as I had the cash combined with a sale or coupon to save as much as I could.

I'm also super crafty - so I hear this! lol

We DIY'd our favors, escort cards, menus, programs, reserved signs, reception signage, card box, guestbook, memorial table and the bridesmaid robes. I will say where we decided not to DIY weren't because we weren't capable, but because it would have cost us MORE - both in money and stress. We did not DIY invitations, flowers, veils, centerpieces, etc. So while DIY is a totally great way to go for most things, keep in mind that sometimes it's not more affordable! Smiley smile

I’m DIYing anything I’ll have that involves flowers because I found these super cool DIY paper flowers made of maps and even my fiancé got excited in his way about them. I’m also thinking if DIYing favors with more maps, a sharpie, some fancy lettering, and a laminator (finally, an excuse to buy one!!!). Those will be bookmarks, since we’re very bookish people. Guest book will be a guest-made DIY scrapbook type thing featuring instant photos and notes from guests (again, legitimate excitement from fiancé). Not really DIY but kind of, my current plan is to have one of my bridesmaids do my make-up because she loves doing make-up.

Nice job on the DIY’s. I enjoy seeing them.

I love crafting and anything artsy. But I just refuse to DIY anything for the wedding Lol.... I’d rather pay, simply for peace of mind. Plus we’re having a DW, so I really don’t desire to transport anything.
