Gray dress, need help with veil, etc!

Hello everyone!

I need some help/opinions please! I’m a non-traditional bride so I am wearing a gray wedding dress (it has a slight silver sheen but it is gray)!

i am attaching some pictures of when I first got the dress and my first fitting after getting some alterations done (removed appliqué on bust and getting an overlay/faux shoulder added on). I have another fitting in a few weeks to see everything pinned and how the dress should actually look 😊

I have been tossing around the idea of a veil but I also think a bridal cape would be really cool too. I’m just not sure what color? White? Gray? I plan on adding accessories and shoes to compliment the dress and add some more “oomph” to the dress without being too overwhelming.

TL;DR: Gray wedding dress, but trouble deciding on color of veil/cape/accessories?

I love your gray wedding dress! I would choose an ivory veil. I agree a cape would be super cool!

Beautiful dress, I love colored dresses! With regard to a veil, you should look into this Etsy shop - she’s great to deal with, very good pricing and received it quickly!!

I’m really not sure honestly. I was afraid the white would look off with the gray but I’ve been staring at Pinterest and the white or off white looks like it would be a soft, sheer color and compliment it well? I was thinking about a gray veil but then I didn’t want too much gray? My hair is bright red so I don’t want to compete with that and have too much color going on. If that makes any sense? Lol

Your red hair will definitely look amazing with your grey dress!!
I think a very light or sheer veil would look really beautiful! Do you know what length veil you would like?

Your dress is gorgeous and I love that color. I do think grey would look fine, especially with a beaded edge, but I can see how matching the color would be difficult so I thought maybe bringing in other colors from your wedding. However, that could look off with the wrong color so really only you can decide in person, online might be hard. Good luck! I can't wait to see what you come up with.

If I do a normal veil, I want it to hit in the waist area. If I do a bridal cape then I would want it to just touch the floor. Nothing super long or dramatic. I like simple

I think a champagne veil would compliment it well! It's basically just a little darker ivory so it wouldn't stand out as much. Mine was champagne and I loved that it was a little darker than the typical veil
