Grandmother too sick to attend wedding - What gift to get her?

What about a locket with a picture of you and your FS in it?

Give her a framed photo of you from the wedding. She be able to see it all the time and tell all her caregivers about it. If her condition is that bad that she can’t leave, she probably wouldn’t have much use for little trinkets and may not be able to get them out to show people easily. Even if you decide to get something else, give her a nice picture she can display in her room. I worked in a nursing home many, many years ago before I went to nursing school, and this was always what the residents wanted to show off, and they always had such pride and joy in their eyes when they told about their family.

Aw my grandma is also too sick to attend my wedding. she is also in a nursing home and needs 24 hour care so i really relate to your post! my grandma has dementia but she still remembers who I am when I visit her weekly. i love Jeanie's idea to give her a framed photo from the wedding so she can always look at and cherish it

My grandmother is 99 and in good health, but she cannot travel all the way across the country to attend my wedding. We're sending her all the paper items from the day - menu, program, etc. - and then I'm ordering her a corsage to be delivered a few hours before the wedding. We're also live streaming the ceremony specifically for her so she can see and feel a part of the day from afar. Hope this helps!

FHs grandmother may not be able to make it (a 7hr flight from San Diego to Baltimore isn't in the cards) to our wedding either. We plan on sending her a Shutterfly book after our pictures come back.
