Hello everyone! So let's get the basics out of the way. I'm not casting judgement on a single person, just stating the facts. I have not had sex (or "messed around" ) and won't until we get married in four months (!!!!). I am 21 and going to the OBGYN for the first time today for a consult and exam....

Hello everyone!

So let's get the basics out of the way. I'm not casting judgement on a single person, just stating the facts. I have not had sex (or "messed around" ) and won't until we get married in four months (!!!!). I am 21 and going to the OBGYN for the first time today for a consult and exam. I am terrified. Not because of pain, just a bit embarrassed to have someone looking and touching me. I want to start birth control ASAP to regulate periods and be sure that I'm not on my period for our honeymoon.

What questions should I ask? About birth control, sex, anything! Nothing is TMI and won't be taken the wrong way. I'm not interested in "stretching" myself using toys or anything.

Thank y'all so much!!

1 hour until I leave!

The first time i went i was 20 and a virgin too. i lost it to FH a year later. i was petrified, but i needed to go on the pill for medical reasons. is it uncomfortable? yes. just be honest and try to relax. the doctors usually have decent bedside manner (if not, get a new one) and will describe to you what they are doing so nothing is a surprise. good luck!

totally posted without reading all the comments or when this was posted lol. btw, even though you need an exam every year, you actually only need a pap smear every OTHER year now.

Way to go Hannah! The doctor discovered my breast cancer during a routine breast exam during my annual gyn exam. I wouldn't be here today if it weren't for my keeping up with my routine health care. You go girl. I'm really proud of you. Woot!

He prescribed Minastrin 24 FE. I'm kind of nervous because the online reviews aren't great, but most of the time people only post negative experiences. I feel most most people rarely have a great experience with something and write a review. Anyone use it??

I use Microgestin FE of health reasons, since I'm a virgin too and will be waiting until my wedding night! Anyways, I love it! I was nauseous the first week and the first two months when i would switch between sugar and active pills. But in the 3rd month no nausea. Also i take it at night and sleep through the side affects, only reason i know is when i would get up to pee felt like a brick hit my stomach. If you have to many problems with that pill microgestin FE is a good one to consider if you switch. Best of luck to you!!
