Can we make like a nofundthee website and then have it be the pop up ads on every gofundme/honeymoon registry site?

That would be so fantastic. or they just pop up messages. "hey, you're an idiot. no one wants to pay for your trip" "hey, you know what you should do? plan a trip you can afford?"

GFM in general is a waste to me. Like I understand the people who do it for, say, a wife's devastating illness or a sudden disaster, but I see people all the time posting things like "Help my son go to Israel this summer!" Or "Help me shop my way out of heartbreak!" Like really, can you not. It's a wonderful idea but too many people are using it to get pity for unnecessary things. Seriously like tell your son to sell chocolate bars and maybe sell your ex's crap to buy those stupid shoes you want.

Seriously?!?! This goes right along with the "Jack and Jill buy tickets to pay for our wedding" thing. Just tacky.

Gross. I wish there was something on GFM that made it a requirement for it to be something legit, not "pay for my wedding" "pay for my vacation" "give me money"

Those kind of posts will eventually make people stop going there because there are less legitimate causes there....

Don't people have a sense of pride anymore? If you can't afford to have a honeymoon, then you either scale back the wedding, don't go on the honeymoon, or make more money. Not ask people for money. It's just rude.

Nope, unfortunately Dean, I don't think people do. A lot of brides on here complain about not being able to afford the wedding of their dreams. Well I either say, scale it back or get a PT job! Even at fast food $8 /hr is money you did not have before! Sell stuff on craigslist you no longer use, or even take babysitting jobs or walk dogs like a teenager. It is money you did not have before!

It's worse than a Jack & Jill. At least with a Jack & Jill you are getting party out of it. This is trying to get something for nothing.

Why didn't she just use HoneyFund?? That's what it's there for. Registry for honeymoon instead of gifts. :/
