    Ugh. Just direct her to these forums and send her some links to the posts advising against this!! Its called-If you can't afford a honeymoon, then don't take one! Wow! First world problems.

    Ugh...I'm against funding someone's honeymoon. I'll pay for a gift or give cash to help you out with starting your life as a couple, but you don't NEED a honeymoon so it shouldn't be a wedding gift.

    Although...to play devil's advocate a little...honeyfund takes some percentage of the money given, does GoFundMe do that? If not, then I can kind of see why using GoFundMe would be better so that they don't have to lose some money. But at least with honeyfund you get the false sense of what you're paying for (like a snorkeling trip or a dinner on the beach...even if this money doesn't go directly toward that excursion anyway).

    Yeah that's just bad.

    Yep......find the money (by your own means) or don't go. I would love to go somewhere, but it just isn't going to happen.
