I don't think it is tacky (it isn't like it is at Chuck E. Cheese or anything) but I would bring some other things in case some of your guests aren't fond of pizza. Is it that you would prefer more "traditional" shower food is served? If so, maybe just politely suggest a change in the menu.

That is really nice of her to do. I think you could work with the pizza and salad. It will just be a more casual shower, which is okay. It doesn't have to be fancy. Is the hall providing the food, or is she ordering it in? I'm sure they would allow you to bring in other dishes as well. If so, I would also do some side dishes, and a cake or some type of dessert.

@alysa I'm pretty sure the Hall is providing it... The room she has booked has a pool table and a bar etc she mainly wanted to do that so the groomsmen can come along as well. No biggie I just want to be able to bring in side dishes! Lol

I don't think it's tacky. If someone else is throwing/paying for your shower then what can you say? At least your bridal shower invitation didn't have birthday balloons on it like mine did.

I love pizza and salad. Mackenzie, do not bring side dishes. Let your grandmother host the shower the way she wants. You are truly blessed to have our grandmother not only still here to see you walk down the aisle, but to want to participate and be around people much younger than she is.

If either of my grandmothers were a live and wanted to host a shower for me, I wouldn't question anything they served and would eat all of it.

Pizza is one of the greatest foods ever. My dream is for a pizza buffet at my wedding. If only I could talk everyone else into it......haha. I'm sure your shower will be awesome.

That sounds fun. I like co-ed wedding showers. I want to do that for mine, but my fiance isn't too excited about that. He doesn't want to be involved at all, and thinks it will be girly and whatever. Hopefully I can convince him. I want to make it fun, and about him too, not just me and all the ladies.

We almost did a pizza party, but the place we were going to hold it wouldn't let us use the party room unless we had 50 people, so we would have been in the public room, so the hostess switched venue and style. I think it sounds like fun and you can is awsome

I wouldn't find it tacky. Everyone tends to stress about the food. Who is going to remember the food a year after except maybe you? Pizza is simple, quick, and easy. Everyone loves it.
