Glam Wedding

Brittany, on August 23, 2019 at 10:21 AM Posted in Style and Décor 0 10

So I am really having trouble when it comes to my theme. I can envision in my head what I want but not sure what to call it or how to execute it. Fall wedding, thinking burgundy & silver as my colors. I have tall lanterns with a brushed silver finish. I want something glamours but yet simple. I love all the ideas I see with strands of pearls and table scatter and I'm hoping to have a brooch bouquet. I have also seen silver sequin table covers and love the look but not sure if it would look tacky in person. Any thoughts on how to tie all this together or pictures of what you used or are going to use?

My mom is dying to make these floating pearl vases but I just don't think it goes with my rustic theme lol. I think it's perfect for a glam wedding though! They also have little tea light candles on the top

Hey Brittany!! I totally understand that portraying your vision into a reality can be tricky, but you already sound like you have some great ideas!

Pinterest is my favorite place to go for inspiration pictures so I would definitely suggest having a browse! I’ve added images of some of my favorites that I came across!!

If you are worried about the sequin table cloths, perhaps you could use them for things like your cake table so that you can incorporate them, but not on every table.

I agree that is not really rustic lol but it is adorable. How did she get the pearls to float like that? Pinterest has a million amazing rustic wedding ideas. That was going to be my other option lol Burlap is great for rustic theme. And if you get married next year, you can buy everything this year when it goes on clearance.

I say make up your own theme, that's what I did. I'm calling mine country rustic royalty. Purple, silver and white. Some bling accessories. Venue is a local park on the lake and the social Hall that has picnic tables

That sounds so pretty!! Here are a few photos I think would look great. Just mentally replace some things that aren't burgundy with ones that are. Now I wish I had done pearls and crystals. Haha. Too late to switch now! Also..what are you putting in your lanterns? I'm obsessed with the strands of twinkle lights in them. You can get ones on silver wire.

Those are all beautiful ideas!! Thanks, where did you find these pinterest? I've seen that frame or something similar but did not say where they purchased it. I am actually using the small twinkle lights and the silver wire inside my later ha ha I am undecided if I will do just the lights or add something else like flowers or gems/pearls. What are you doing?

    I Googled pearl wedding decorations.

Our starting point was a black lantern. Our venue offers them. Our colors are dark green, browns and tans, and gold. We will be adding plain glass votives with white candles around the lanterns. I'm going to spray paint some small vases gold and put a couple natural Sola flowers with dark green German statice filler and gold dried baby's breath..one or two for each table. I'll also be hiding little snitches and flying keys (some HP elements for FH) into the flower arrangements. I want to loosely put gold wire fairy lights on the table too..i haven't decided on that for sure though. There are a few stairs with banisters in the room that with also have greenery and fairy lights down them with differing sized lanterns at the bottom of the stairs. It's a winter wedding so I want it to be softy lit from the candles and fairy lights..to make it feel romantic and warm.
