giving parents their gifts later?

I think that is totally fine, and I plan to do that! If anyone will understand and not be offended it is your parents I plan to write a nice thank you card with all the mushy gushy stuff and include in there something about their gift coming after the wedding.

I am buying the frame and giving them it. In the pic frame I'll put "Picture coming"

I like the frame idea, that's a cute "IOU." We also gave our parents albums after the wedding, but we got them other gifts for before. But I don't think there's anything wrong with waiting until after the wedding.

BTW, somewhat random, are you going ahead with the Spark Booth app? I believe it was your post I randomly came across a while back asking about it...

Our parent gifts were wedding albums as well so they got them after the wedding.

It took a month to get my wedding photos back, then it took awhile to design all of the albums myself. I first designed and ordered mine. Then once my album came in and I could see it in person and decide if I wanted to get the parent albums from the same place, I designed them for our parents. I designed different albums for each of them so it took a bit of time and then since I ordered from a professional company, it took another 4 weeks for the album to actually be made.

Our wedding was in May, and they got their gifts in December. They loved them though and were fine with waiting for their gifts.

We're going to do some kind of pictures frames at the time of the wedding with a thank you card and IOU. After we get all of the pictures back we'll provide photos for the frame. I'll also be doing like many others and creating a personalized photobook for both sets of parents.

We are doing photo albums as parent gifts...what we did: Fiance bought matching bowties for the dads, and I'm paying for the mom's to get hair done for the wedding...then we're doing a card that says thank you and explains that we'll get them a wedding album soon!
