Gifts for Wedding

How many items do you have on your registry? A lot of people are gifting cash/checks these days, as it allows the couple to buy what they want with it. I've been to many weddings and never gifted anything but money.

Most people don't give physical gifts at the actual wedding. And yes, some who do decide to wait until the last minute. Some people don't gift at all.

Yes, I wouldn’t really expect *any* gifts before the wedding. We got maybe 2 “pre” wedding presents (which were not wedding gifts but I guess something more like engagement gifts), 1 or 2 things from people who couldn’t make the wedding but still wanted to send something nice, and I think 3 actual “wedding gifts” mailed to our home before the wedding by people that were actually attending the wedding, Otherwise as far as physical gifts went, we received some on our wedding day and some shipped to our home right around and after the time of our wedding. But we didn’t receive all that many physical gifts for the wedding in general — of the gifts we did receive, most were monetary.

I got a ton on the wedding day but also received more the closer it got to the wedding

We have had 40 gifts purchased with 120 guests for our wedding & around 20 at my shower. A few at my shower gave random non-registry gifts & a couple wedding cards had cash. We are 3 weeks out and still have around 40 gifts left on our registry.

We have about 150 gifts and prob about 140-150 guest will attend. We’ve received 2 gifts from guest that are not able to attend. I’m hoping they get stuff on the registry as preferred since my fiancé will be moving into our place a month before we are married so we can get everything set-up by then hopefully. Cash is fine but it will be easier if we don’t have to order stuff.
