Gifts for Wedding Vendors

Danielle, on September 27, 2017 at 7:01 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 8

Have any of you given or received gifts in addition to a tip? I have some vendors like my day of coordinator and my dj that are amazing and have already gone above and beyond for us that I feel like they deserve a little something extra. Any suggestions or ideas?

In addition to the tip you're giving them? Honestly, they probably would appreciate cash and a really good review more than anything else you could get for them.

I would think they'd appreciate a larger tip over a gift.

People in business for themselves will appreciate a larger tip and a good review over anything else.

Tip and a review. Referrals go a long way.

I agree with pp, gifts are nice and if you feel you need to get them something maybe a gift card? And definitely a review.

The only gift I'm giving (besides cash tips) to anyone is a gift bag for our wine lady. It just seems too weird to tip a retail employee (and I know some retailers flat out forbid it) but since she's been helping us select and special order wine for 9 months now I wanted to do something for her. So a tote bag with "Time to Drink Champagne and Dance on the Table" on it (she's a former dancer/choreographer) and some flowers and chocolate are going her way.
