Gift registries

I will be using the same registry for my bridal shower. I dont think there is a difference.

I don't think there is a difference? I mean, they're all gifts towards wedding activities!
Maybe they're different if you're having a themed shower like a honeymoon or lingerie shower ?

I'd consider them, but I guess you could create a separate registry for a shower or add more to it after the shower. I've seen people do lingerie showers, so I guess that kind of registry wouldn't be used for the normal wedding registry haha

I wasn't sure on this either, but I'm pretty sure I'm gonna use the same registry for both! Just simpler that way in my opinion

I too thought they were one in the same but I was informed after our shower that we needed to add more expensive and different items for the wedding. Who knew!

They are the same, just called different names by different people. I've heard of couples being advised to upgrade their registries after the shower, for people searching for a wedding gift. But it's essentially all the same. The couple registers at their favorite places for whatever gifts they would like to receive. Guests then purchase gifts from those registries for either the shower, or the wedding, or both.

I thought it was all the same. We have one registry that everyone is being pointed to. We've received some gifts leading up to our engagement party and I'm sure that trend will continue throughout the wedding festivities. It was draining enough creating one registry...I refuse to do multiple! lol

They're the same. But only put the registry info on the shower invites - not the wedding invites.
