Gift for Wedding Coordinator

Mary, on November 14, 2017 at 8:29 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 7

I hired a wedding coordinator and don't regret it one bit. She's been super helpful through the whole process. I know I'm supposed to tip and plan on doing so, but I wanted to give something more personal. Any ideas on a thank you gift for wedding coordinators/planners?

A bottle of wine would be lovely. Be sure to leave positive reviews. Nothing beats that!

The venue provided all our staffing needs. The 2 assistants to our events manager got $50 cash each and the dining room captain $100. Our event manager, who worked with us for months received a check for $400.

If they worked 2 weddings per weekend, I doubt they could drink 100 bottles of wine per year. It's like giving your kids' teacher a "#1 Teacher" mug, at the end of the school year.

    P.S. I didn't hire a wedding coordinator and I don't regret it one bit.

This teacher could use 100 bottles of wine per year.

But, in all honesty, Dreamer brings up a good point. I always appreciate gifts I can use (like stationary), but honestly a good tip and a handwritten thank you card will go a long way. Smiley smile

I'd say a bottle of wine, a gift card for Barnes and Noble or Amazon, a gorgeous scented candle, and a fabulous, detailed review

While a gift is very sweet of you, I honestly think they would prefer a cash tip with a nice note and a positive review. I know that's what I would prefer. Usually you don't know your coordinator that closely so you may give them a type of wine they don't like, a gift card to a place they don't shop, etc.

I agree. While trying to find a unique gift or something you think they need/want is a nice thought, I'm almost certain most people would just prefer the cash! I know I would Smiley laugh
