Getting ready to venue transportation?

Leonormorrow, on February 21, 2020 at 8:50 AM Posted in Planning 0 7
I was thinking of just getting an Uber Black to transport myself and my MoH to the ceremony venue from my house where I am getting ready (about a 10-15 minute drive). And then a separate uber for my fiancé and his best man.

However, I found a company that does private car and limo 1 hour transportation packages. This service might be more professional and a bit fancier, but it is $220, instead of the ~$50-60 the ubers would cost.
The company includes drinks and snacks, “almost married signs,” etc. What do you all think? Is the company worth the additional cost?

    To me? Not at all.
But I'm probably just driving myself or hitching a ride with someone.

Is that $220 for both cars?

I say yes. Personally, I wouldn't want to rely on Uber to take me to my wedding.

Yeah I honestly wouldn't mind going in my own car, except am a bit worried about getting in with the wedding dress on? I just found out about Swoop, which seems to maybe be a little more affordable than a typical company, but more reliable than Uber, so I'll look into that.

It would be for a whole hour, so could cover both trips to venue, but not the return trip after ceremony, so I'd still need to worry about that.

I probably wouldn't spend that much. Is uber black reliable in your area, you'd be guaranteed to get one? That would be my only concern.

    Some ideas:

You could get just one car and have it make two trips.

You also can ride to the venue in PJ and get into your dress there. I did this for a wedding that was a 30 min drive from where we got ready. It was so fun in a fancy car in pjs.
