Getting our license today... forgot a witness

I wasn't even sure I had to have one just to apply, I thought it was just when we signed them at the church? Soooo my boss is coming with. We're pretty close anyway, she's coming to our wedding. Who was your witness? Did anyone else take a random person too? Just whoever was available?

We are getting our license on Monday. We are bringing my brother as our witness, make sure they have their license with them! And then at the wedding we need to more witnesses. So that will be our BM and MOH. These are lovely Jersey rules for anyone else out there. Our license is only good for 30 days here. And then ready in 3 days to pick up for the ceremony. Then we just have to give it to our priest and he does the rest lol. My MIL scared me last week before I called saying we had to get STD checked and all before hand cause they needed it for the license. I was like really??? More appointments!!! Yea stopped in the 90s in Jersey so much easier now.

In michigan, we didn't need a witness to get the license. We had to have 2 people sign as witnesses after the ceremony though.

I was reading the requirements in Michigan the other day and it says "the couple is no longer required to take a blood test' which is great, then I started thinking about it. You'd think a blood test was needed more now than ever before, considering many people are having children outside of marriage and moving on.
