Getting Married on a Friday...am I the only one?

My wedding is on a Friday. Sadly, I have not saved ONE penny because of it. But, if you want to get married in the South in October, you bet your butt you don't try to have a Saturday wedding.

My ceremony starts at 5 and the reception venue opens for us at 6. Be there or don't be there. My VIPs will be there and they will be there for the Thursday rehearsal/dinner.

My DJ told me that it's becoming a LOT more popular so "people are on to your trick". My photographer won't even touch a Saturday wedding during football season because he is also a sideline photographer.

Very Important People...like your favorites that you couldn't image getting married without them there.

VIPs in this case are the people who are most important for you to be there. Mine are my parents, my future in laws, my brother, his siblings, etc.

Getting married on a Friday at 6 as well! If people really love you, they will do anything to celebrate with you. Don't worry about it!

I'm gettin hitched on a Friday... nobody seems bothered by it. We just made it a little later than we would have on a saturday

All the important people will make sure they make it! I'm getting married on a Friday as well. Honestly it's not that uncommon anymore, Ive actually been to two weddings that were on Thrusdays!

I'm getting married on a ... wait for it ... THURSDAY! CHEAP! CHEAP! and CHEAP! all with the same quality. Also, it will naturally lower my guest RSVPs for yes which I am not complaining about at all

I am too and for the same reason! Mine starts at 7:30. As long as people get enough notice I think they will find a way to be there.
