Getting home after?

Melody , on January 11, 2017 at 9:37 AM Posted in Planning 0 33

What is everyones plan of how to get home (or to your hotel) after the wedding? Has anyone considered uber? I know you can preschedule a month in advance for an uber. Currently considering that.. But open to all ideas.

Our hotel is about 3 blocks from our venue so if we are to tired or drunk lol to take a stroll we will definitely take an uber.

We're taking the hotel shuttle with our guests.

The hotel we're staying at offers a shuttle service so we'll be using that.

I think contacting uber and seeing what your options with them are is a great idea!

I get the pleasure of passing out in my own bed for a night (actually 2) before we leave for the honeymoon so no shuttles for us unfortunately.

I've been wondering the same thing. A friend of mine took the hotel shuttle with their guests. Another friend hired a car service their hotel wasn't near their venue at all.

We are having the best man drive us home, he's our sober driver (he doesn't drink, so he's not staying sober just to be our driver) and he lives across the street from us so it made sense

@windows I thought about doing something like that but worry FH might be to tired (or tipsy) to drive at the end of the night

We are required to provide transportation for our guests to/from the ceremony and reception, as well as for ourselves. DF and I will probably do a limo because when else are we going to get a limo? We will be getting luxury vans for our guests.

One of the reasons we chose a city was so this wouldn't be an issue for us or any of our (drunk) guests. The plan is to take a black cab back to the hotel after the reception - and theoretically the Tube is also a possibility.

If we were doing it in the American 'burbs I would have arranged a black sedan from a limo company.

We'll probably splurge on a Uber black car....or just get in a family member's car that lives close to us

The hotel we are staying at the night of the wedding is about 45 min away from the wedding, we are going on our honeymoon the next day. We just booked a limo to take us to our house to get our luggage and then take us to the hotel which is by the airport and has a free shuttle.

We hired the hotel shuttle service to bring us to and from the hotel. We have them from an hour before ceremony until hour after reception ends... Hotel is about 5 min drive. I mostly did this to cut down on drinking and driving and make it convenient for guests.

Uh-oh, I don't have a plan! I'll probably ride the shuttles I hired for the guests.

H dropped his car at our venue the morning of the wedding. We didn't drink (aside from toasts) and our hotel was only a couple minutes away.

I think we are just going to drive ourselves. I don't drink and FH MIGHT have a beer, though I'd be surprised if he did.

Don't worry though, there will be alcohol for the guests even though we aren't drinkers.

We are renting a luxury car to drive from our first look to the venue and then my little brother is driving us back to the hotel after our farewell.

We were thinking about doing a Uber pass for our guest but Uber charges a lot of admin fees in our area because Uber is not that popular.

I was thinking about looking into a car service we have here that for about $30 will take our guest and their car back to their hotel or home. I just have to talk to some guest to see if there is enough interest.
