Getting Excited

I haven't really been excited about wedding planning and all that goes into it, because I never wanted a wedding this size (less than 100). This is my second marriage and I really didn't want to spend the money for something that last one day. But, this is my FH first marriage, so I relented, but still was not thrilled. We recently started pre-marital counseling, and since that point, my excitement level has racketed up. We are hashing out some issues we knew we have and learning how to adjust and come together. We have known each other for 20 years, dated 14 years ago, stayed best friend over the years and decided to give it another go and here we are now. He moved to FL from NJ and we are not living together. So things have been challenging, but we are in this together and counseling is reaffirming this. Now I can't stay off this website; can't stop thinking of centerpieces and favors; messing with our website, etc.
6 months to go till forever.

I'm so glad that you've been able to get excited about your wedding! And congratulations to you and your FH for coming together after all these years, FH and I are in the same boat It takes a lot of maturity to recognize that there are issues in every relationship and sometimes counseling is the best thing for it. We don't have any huge issues going on, but we do struggle sometimes (as any couple does) and we'll be looking into pre-marital counseling as well. I think it's a good idea to start off a marriage healthy and happy Won't be long now!

I am hoping it will be drama free, carefree and just fun. We don't have all the logistics worked out, but we will be getting married at our church's main campus in one of their smaller rooms. Then heading across town to a restaurant on the water that has a 2nd floor ballroom to party the night away.
