Geeky Themed Wedding

Not video game, but we are planning on having Marvel aspects in our wedding. It can definitely be done. We’re adding pop figures to our centerpieces, I’m planning on making lego boutonnières, and other things. I’ve seen key bottle openers that might fit into the kingdom hearts theme.

Ah! A fellow nerd! At first I wanted to keep it subtle, but now it's just all nerd. So we handmade wands for the bridesmaids, and swords for the groomsmen. We have another sword made for signing as our guest book. Our cake topper is from the princess bride. Our centerpieces consist of lonlon milk bottle candles, sets of D&D dice along with mini game rules. The dice sets are the guests gifts to take home. We bought goblets from our favorite vendor at the Renaissance Faire for ourselves. My necklace is a heart container from legend of Zelda. ALL of our music, seating/cocktail is all various video game themes and movie soundtracks. I am walking down the isle to Zelda's Lullaby from Legend of Zelda. And the party is walking to a rendition of the theme of Jurrasic Park. Our intro back into the reception song is the girl with the fiery hair by Howard Shore, aka the Bilbo Baggins birthday song. This is most of it, but there is more! We had to postpone to next year so we have a whole year to add more the nerdiness. I figured it's what I really want and to hell with anyone who thinks it's weird or not proper.

Oh I also forgot to add our very good friend and Dungeon Master is our officiant. So I am looking forward to hearing his probably very nerdy take on our wedding!

Use art from the game for your invitations and reception signage. Use art with a framed matte as a guestbook. Have your baker use artistic elements on the cake. You're really only limited by your imagination.

Just want to say you're the coolest bride ever!! We are doing a fairy tail fantasy wedding- which is being held in a castle. Havent ironed out all of our details but will be having some nerdy elements as well!

PS. Kingdom Hearts is my favorite series of all time!

My bouquet has blue hydraneas with a lightsaber hilt

My dress will have a slight Elven (Arwen bridge dress) feel to it. I am going to be wearing an Celtic/Elven looking circlet instead of a veil.

Still working on the decor, blending eucalyptus garland and skyrim items with flowers, but it wil look so cool, once done.....

also hoping to make little signs with "achievement unlocked" type stuff too....

our order of events sign is the quest log in Skyrim

and our reception music will be a bunch of gaming/movie soundtracks

still working on other ideas/pieces but it's gonna be awesome!!!

Hooray to the nerdy girls!!!!!! Our weddings will be a lot of fun!!
