Garter toss

We are skipping it so we have more time to drink and dance!

My grandma will be gone by the time we do it so whatever. It's 2016, we've been "living in sin" for 4 years. I'm not trying to fool anyone lol

Oh girl please, please rethink that plan! If you guys want to do the garter toss then that's great. But dancing around to my Pony while taking it off!!??? Do you know what that song is about? You know what? I wouldn't, but if you like it I love it!

Skipping it.. both FH and I would be quite embarrassed in front of our families. If we want to do something like that it'll be in our hotel room after the reception

We're going to do it! And I've seen it done where the groom makes a huge show and goes completely under the dress or it can be just modestly where the bride revels the leg and he takes the garter off. It doesn't have to be so crazy if you don't want it to be or you can make it more silly if you want. I once saw a groom have a spare pare of undies in his pocket that he came out under the dress with in his mouth... the bride was so embarrassed!

I think it's awkward.

Ha. He's got good taste in music. I'm not doing one. I think the idea of throwing my sweaty crotch garments into a crowd of my friends is gross. I vetoed it from the beginning and FH was okay with that. Is there a something you could replace it with? Maybe an extra hair ribbon or something you kiss can be tossed if he's needing to toss something.

Wow. I must be old bc I've never even heard of the song Pony. But after seeing those lyrics...Jesus that's really in bad taste for a wedding.

ETA: I just looked it up and it came out when I was a sophomore in college! How the hell did I never hear that song?

We are doing it. I just can't imagine not after growing up going to weddings and every single one did it. I do hear most people skip it now a days though so to each their own!
