Gamer Wedding

Carmen, on December 4, 2016 at 10:29 PM Posted in Style and Décor 0 11

So FH and I are huge gamers and I want to incorporate that into our wedding in subtle ways (I dont want it to scream gaming, lol).

I thought this cake was cute... Any other ways you guys think I can incorporate a gaming theme? Pics are welcome Smiley smile

I like it! My friend had a comic book themed wedding (both into comic books) subtle and got the point across while still being classy. You're definitely on the right track!

My string quartet played a gamer wedding a while back. They had us do music from Final Fantasy (I forget which iteration) for processional and recessional. We thought it was awesome bc the gamers would recognize the music, while non-gamers would still think the music was really pretty. They also had small action figures for the boutonnières.

I think if you keep it subtle, you could really do a great job with incorporating it into a classy wedding with a gaming theme. Goodluck!

Cufflinks! There's some really cute ones on Etsy that would fit the theme.

Our favors are going to be chocolate d20s, we'll have hp and doctor who photo props, my color scheme represents sailor moon, our cake will have tentacles coming out of the back, we'll play string quartet covers of nerdy songs....we're doing a lot of subtle things.

Find little ways to incorporate things and you can easily pull off an elegant but nerdy/gamer wedding!

My fiance and I decided that our cake toppers are going to be Dagger and Zidane from FF9. Additionally, all my ceremony music is either from the FF9 soundtrack or the Hyrule Symphony Orchestra soundtrack from Ocarina of Time - the music is pretty but subtle. Nobody knows it's the theme from Kakariko Village unless they've played the game. We're also renting arcade games to have available during the reception.

That's so cute! We're gamers and while our wedding doesn't have a theme aside from colors (black, white, & green), we did put a little space invader in the corner of the envelopes for our invites. Bought the stamps on etsy. ETA: Sorry thats a crazy dumb close up. The stamp is actually the size of a quarter.

We're not having a traditional reception so we have a small cake for the cocktail hour and we're going to put 2 meeples on it (board game thing).

I totally want to do the achievement unlocked sign too but don't know if I'll have the time.
