THIS IS THE ONE!

I finally picked and bought my gown. This is the Maya! By the stunning Galia Lahav. I am currently struggling to figure out if I should wear a detachable skirt to cover the sheer sides and make it look more conservative (since we are getting married at a Catholic Church). Need help deciding!
Help a sis out! Don’t be a hater 😂

Wow. nice. a Galia Lahav dress.

I would think so. And to err on the side of caution cover your shoulders too. I think this all depends on local rules.

Maybe over the shoulders. You should be able to check on the local requirements beforehand. Wouldn't want to have to do a makeshift covering after you got there.

Beautiful dress! As far as the church goes, I would definitely check with their rules. Catholic churches have a lot more modesty rules than other churches. What I have seen frequently required is covering the back and shoulders.

Thank you so much. This definitely gives me some time to figure out what other accessories to buy before the wedding day. Thank you!

Very beautiful dress!! 😍 I would check with the church themselves on their rules. I also go married in Catholic Church as well, but fortunately my specific church did not have any rules on the attire. I was able to wear a gown with spaghetti straps (shoulders showing) and they did not mind 🙂 It all depends on each church though.

Emma's gown is a bit more daring than spaghetti straps.

I’m just saying different churches have different rules, so it’s best to check with that specific church directly.

Some accessory options you could consider are cathedral length veil, full blusher veil, cape, or overskirt. Some detachable overskirts start at the hips so the shape of your mermaid still shows. Others have fullness all the way around. There are many accessories to accent your Beautiful dress. I hope everything works out with your Church.

FWIW I think the dress itself is beautiful. I'm sure the dress will have an amazing day.

I am Roman Catholic and though the gown is lovely and you wear it well, you need to cover up more. It's much too sheer for a church ceremony, and may be considered in poor taste. Check with the parish pastor, they should have guidelines for appropriate attire.

So pretty! I would wear a skirt just for the ceremony since it is in a church but then take it off for the reception! Gorgeous dress!!! You rock it girl!

GIRL, you look gorg!! I'd say for church do detachable sleeves and side panel the sheer part but keep it form fitting! Smiley heart33 best of luck
