Fun/creative Ideas For Your Wedding!

Nicole, on March 30, 2020 at 7:34 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 1 19

Hi everyone! Thinking of all the brides our there during this unusual and difficult time.

Since I'm working from home, I've been taking advantage of some downtime thinking of creative DIY projects for our wedding next May. We all know floral is very expensive so we've decided to create our own centerpieces - clear cylinder 11" vases with 20" LED branches (5 branches will be lit and 5 fillers).

Any other brides have fun, creative ideas or DIY ideas?

Can't wait to hear all about it!

Keep positive and stay healthy Smiley heart

I am making my own bouquet of fake flowers for the toss that way whoever catches it can keep them and use it as a decor piece or something 😊 I haven’t put it together yet since my wedding is in November.

This weekend I started putting together a hanging floral backdrop for our ceremony next May. Not done yet, but I'm excited with the progress so far! I also did some planning for other diys, like our table numbers.

Love that idea Shelby! Plus you won’t have to pay extra for a toss bouquet!

That’ll be super pretty Haleigh! You’ll have to share a photo.

I’m doing the same with our table numbers and signage! Our colors are blush, champagne and gold with hints of navy. Paper Source has an embossing kit so I’m going to use the gold on our table signage.

Oh I love that idea for center pieces! Good thinking. So far, I’ve made the bouquets, boutonnières, hair pieces and flower crowns, wedding jewelry, welcome bags for out of town guests, and some signs. I am still working on the invitations (and am totally stressing about them since I’m not sure if we are post-poning or not) and I am looking for ideas for an arch that I can transport. You can pretty much DIY anything you want for your wedding; it just depends on how much time you have to devote to your projects while balancing daily life. The most difficult thing has been the jewelry, but there are TONS of tutorials on YouTube to help. What do you want to DIY?

Wow! That's super impressive. With being home more I've had more time to research decor ideas, so I'm adding a couple new projects to my list like small signs and other decor.

I'm planning to do the same. Also thinking I'll make it early enough to use this bouquet for bridal portraits rather than having to have 2 bridal bouquets made up.

I’m going to try to make my centerpieces and my bouquet but I’m not very good at it so I’ll just see how it goes... 🤭

Love the DIY game! We are doing a beauty and the beast inspired centerpiece, the classic rose. Added little wedding couple at the bottom where each table will have it a little different. The couple can kiss each other or one kissing the other; super excited to have these on each table lit up 🥰

Stay safe and take care everyone!

Bouquets are easy, especially if you just hand tie them. You can do it! 👍🥰
