FUN Rehearsal Dinner Ideas

kellyann, on July 24, 2015 at 10:56 PM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 13

Hi ladies! We're looking for some nontraditional ideas for our reversal dinner. I'm actually thinking of something like karaoke and dinner (casual) at a hotel...Any other ideas? We would like to do something fun to get our family and a few friends together before the wedding since we all don't get to see each other that often.

Our bridal party is not big into fancy sit down stuff, we're more the backyard bbq and bon fire type, so we decided on pizza and beer. Classy, I know but it'll be fun.

We're doing ours at a restaurant with bocce courts and get 90 minutes of playing after dinner.

We are having a fun/relaxed RD. It will be at our venue and the menu is, our "Favorite things". We are having our favorite local pizza place make a ton of pizza, we have a favorite salad we are having that brought in also. Some of our favorite apps from another place also. Most of our guests at the RD are from 6+ hours away, we are excited for them to try some of our "favs". Our local brewery has some fabulous brews that we will have, as well as 2-3 wine options. It will be the 1st time many of our BP and some family meet - so we really want it laid back, and for everyone to have a chance to mingle. Pizza and Beer sounded like a god plan Smiley smile

We are doing a welcome dinner instead of a rehearsal dinner and are inviting all out of town guests along with the bridal party. We are doing it at an old house and are bringing in foods for a "taste of chicago" since most of our guests won't have much time to explore the city while they are here.

I like the welcome dinner versus rehearsal dinner. I think that better described what I'm trying to have.

We had a welcome dinner also. We served soul food....fried chicken, ham, mac and cheese, greens. Vodka, Cognac, red and white wine. It was super laid back and we hosted an after party at a club after dinner

Ours is a Welcome Dinner and we're having it at a restaurant with a piano in the middle and singing waiters. Karaoke sounds fun too!
