FH and I want to have a fun casual rehearsal dinner? What did you do or what are you going to do for your rehearsal dinner?

You could do pizza at your house or something like Dave and Busters.

We had a private room at a casual restaurant with heavy apps and we ran a bar tab for our guests. Came in right about 1k for 25ish people and was very laid back and fun.

Some people do stuff like bowling, which we considered, but didn't want people to feel they had to stay a certain length of time if they needed to get back home to relieve babysitters and stuff. Then we went back to the hotel and drank on their patio.

Our venue charges extra for the space to rehearse, so we're using the driveway at my house (it measures the same) and treating everyone to a barbecue at the same time. Our families love to host barbecues, so everyone will be fine with it not being a formal dinner.

I'm trying to think of something, too. My FMIL has been asking what I want to do. I have no idea. I kind of thought that was something that FH would decide since that's typically a "Groom's side" responsibility. We'll be having our rehearsal on a Tuesday, as well, so I don't want to do anything too crazy, but something fun would be nice...

I saw an acquaintance post on FB this morning that they are going to do a round of Family Feud at the rehearsal dinner! I'm jealous and want one too. They set up some sort of "survey monkey" with the questions to get the "we polled 100 people" results.

We are having ours at a brew pub. The food is super reasonable ($10-12 per person), and we will be getting some alcohol as well. We are trying to figure out a budget right now, but it is perfect for us- super casual!

We are keeping ours simple and having it in the pavilion at the fire house that FH is a member of. We can do a BBQ there but we are thinking of keeping it as simple as possible since both our families are simple and do pizza and wings, beer and wine and some other light stuff.

We're doing a cook-out at his parents house. They live on a lake so we're making it a whole day affair (for those who want) - we're going to go out on the lake, swim, tan, tube, etc. and then we'll have backyard games like corn-hole and what not. We're planning it more as a late lunch (3pm) since they live about 45min away from where we're all staying the night before. It should be fun!

While few of my couples do actual rehearsals (and if they are not in the exact space you'll be getting married, they are even less necessary) the almost all do rehearsal get togethers. One of my favorites was at an cool pool hall with appetizers, craft beers and a slide show of the couple. It was a load of fun.
