Fun, Faith-based Wedding Stories/tips

Annie , on January 30, 2020 at 8:43 PM Posted in Planning 1 6

Hi all,

My fiancé and I are both Protestant Christians and I want to find some fun ways to bring faith into our wedding day, planning, and events with our bridal party. Do you all have any fun activities/tips on what you are planning/did for your wedding?

Thanks a million,

Annie

That’s so awesome! I’ve seen people do the foot washing, but I quite think of how to make that work. I’ve seen the pouring of sand into a hot by the bride and groom to symbolize two becoming one. There was so a time of prayer during the ceremony where someone was called to pray over the couple. I’ve also seen worship done, which was amazing!

Did you have anything in particular you were thinking?

I also saw someone have people highlight their favorite scripture in a bible and place their signature by it as the guestbook alternative

I was going to suggest this too!
I would also maybe have some cute Bible verses about love around anything printed like in programs if you'll have them.

Idk if this is kind of what you’re going for, but I think it’s beautiful when a couple prays together before they see one another on different sides of a wall. I think it’s a sweet thing to do before the ceremony and the pictures I’ve seen are so touching. I also think it’s nice to do the same thing with the bridal party.
At my sisters wedding she had our great grandmas cross hanging around the bouquet, which is the photo below. Fun, Faith-based Wedding Stories/tips 2
I will have some verses placed throughout the reception too so if you have any that are very meaningful to you you could incorporate those.
