About 2 months after I booked my reception venue a friend of mine who just got engaged this past week booked my venue, & the exact same room that i booked & pushed her wedding up to be the end of August right before mine is in October. I think this is beyone rude. I honestly this its so...

I think this is beyone rude. I honestly this its so tacky & rude. The total disrespect i feel makes me not care to be her friend. She had no interest in the location until i announced our plans 😔

Honestly, I would not care. Many people have their weddings in the same venues, especially smaller towns. Your wedding will be you and hers will be hers! Don't stress over this one.

I'm sorry, and maybe I am a bit biased to the situations as I am "your friend" in this situation. My FH and I were interested in touring a venue, due to our schedules that didn't happen right away and his sister ended up touring and booking the venue before us. Now we have toured over 12 venues and out of ALL 12 this venue was the only one willing to work with us, dropped their prices, dropped their minimum requirement, included Hors d'oeurves that were only for Saturday evening in our Sunday price, and much more. The manager was VERY polite, professional, and willing to work with our budget. Not to mention the professionalism of the staff is beyond amazing. Now should I have ignored ALL that just because his sister booked it? I'm sorry but no, we are getting the most for our money out of this venue and why should I have to pay more somewhere else, or settle for less somewhere else just because someone I know or my FH knows booked the same venue. I don't know if maybe you raved to her about your venue, but maybe you made it sound good. Either way, you have your wedding and she has hers and you both are allowed to have the most amazing day, if the same venue happens to be able to provide that for both of you....then why not? Yes it sucks she booked it before you did, but I honestly doubt once the drinks start flowing people will care.

That’s not right before your wedding, that’s at least 30 before and two calendar months before.
