We choose Sunday. It will be mid afternoon but most of our family took Monday off.

Friday wedding. I'd like for my guests to be able to enjoy themselves and not have to worry about work the next day. Sunday weddings just seem super restrained because guests have to worry about leaving early.

Mime's on a Sunday. It's easier for his family, who are Jewish, to get to. Plus we really wanted a low key brunch vibe that a Friday night wouldn't give us. Our wedding is 1:30-7.

My wedding is on a Sunday, starting at 1pm. I have been to a Friday wedding after work and it was a hassle. After work I really wanted to relax

I'm doing Sunday late morning start and easier for my family that's Jewish. We're planning on having the wedding from 11-4.

Hard to choose. If I had a choice I'd say Friday so I can stay up later but then again if the evening starts late my energy level may not be as high.

Mine is on a Sunday but long weekend so my guests have Monday off.

I'm having a Sunday night wedding 5:30-11pm! Most of my family has to travel in and our friends are happy to take the Monday off. Do what works for you and your guests

I was talking to my planner recently about a Thursday wedding she's doing.. I think as long as you give people ample notice, (and they can/want to) they'll be there!

Not because my wedding is a Sunday, but I will prefer Sunday. I have had 5 weddings this year so far, where 2 were on a Friday and taking a vacation day was tough for me. Even more if the wedding starts on a Friday at 3 or 4pm. The guys just put a suit and they keep walking, but the girls need some makeup some hair and that takes time. Sunday most people will have off, and usually weddings will end at 10 or 11pm, and that for me its still to early to go to bed...

Our wedding is on a Sunday but most of our guests have to take Monday off anyway for traveling home. They would have had to taken off Thursday (for rehearsal and rehearsal dinner) and Friday (for the wedding) if we had a Friday wedding, so we did what we thought was best for the majority of our guests. Our reception ends at 10:30 so the locals will get home at a reasonable time if they're going into work the next day.

UO here- I hate them both. It is a huge PITA for me to take a random Friday or Monday off with my schedule so I would have to take an entire week off for a wedding. I know that it is cheaper to do off days, but be prepared for people like me to not come.

Friday here Smiley smile - no rehearsal dinner because we didn't want people to have to take off. I asked all the VIPs first and made sure that the potential BM/GM were okay with it.

We wanted more of a party vibe vs. a brunch vibe.

Ours is Sunday, but we're having an OOT wedding. We definitely prefer the Sunday because then our guests only have to take one day off (Monday) instead of two (Thursday and Friday). My boss's son had a Sunday wedding and she said the party was just as good as any Saturday wedding she'd gone to.

As a guest, Friday is better because you don't have to worry about work the next day.

Sunday so I do not have to miss work or more days of work. For out of town guests a wedding on Friday means guests need to take off at least Thursday and Friday from work. For local guests it means many people will need to take off of work when they would not have to if it were on the weekend.

We're having a Sunday wedding because it was 50% cheaper and I think all Saturdays in September were already booked (mind you, I booked my venue almost 2 years in advanced).

Our wedding is 3 hours away from mostly everyone, so I figured having it on Sunday would give them a much easier way to prepare. Instead of having to take Thursday AND Friday off work to drive up for a Friday wedding, or leave SUPER early on Friday, they have the whole weekend to come up if they want. Plus, people can choose whether or not to take work off Monday whereas they would have no choice on a Friday.

So far I have heard zero issues with it.
