Friday or Sunday wedding??

We did a Friday evening wedding. Our church wanted to start it at 5:00 and we pushed back to have the ceremony start at 6:00. It was better for guests in that they really didn't need to leave work early.

We are doing a Sunday wedding due to all the Saturdays at our venue being booked. Fridays were out due to consideration of traffic getting from our church ceremony and reception venue

We are having a Friday wedding! It really does save money and for me at least, most of our guests are either family members who live close to where it is not an issue, for those who have to take off work, they only have to do a half day. Another chunk of guests are servers/bartenders (we met while working in a restaurant) so they will be taking the evening off regardless of what day/time and honestly Saturday is a better money day to work for them, so Friday is ideal!

Personally as a guest I'd rather attend a Friday wedding than a Sunday wedding. This way I can actually drink & dance all night without worrying about work the next day. I had a Friday wedding myself & we had no issues with it. A few people couldn't make it to the ceremony since it started at 4:00 PM but TBH I preferred it that way lol. Those who really mattered made it. Also, a lot of other services offer discounts for Friday weddings (limo, DJ, etc.) which is a plus

Mine is on a Sunday! We have a lot of people coming from out of town and we are doing our wedding in the winter and are fearful of a snowstorm. So we figured we would give people the whole weekend to get there in case of a storm.

No matter which date you choose people will be missing work/inconvienenced. Friday and they have to either take the whole day or a half day, Sunday wedding and they usually have take off Monday. We chose Sunday.

I'm having a Sunday wedding. Ceremony starts at 3. Since the majority of my guess live within the area it works out perfectly. I guess it's all about knowing your crowd.

I prefer Friday weddings. This way I can leave work early and then have the entire weekend still especially if I need to travel. I personally do not care for Sunday weddings as I feel drained the next day at work. Sundays are my decompress days where I like to do as little as possible.

We're doing a Sunday evening wedding. Our venue doesn't do Fridays and the Saturdays were all booked. (Sat and Sun are same price) Half the wedding is coming from OOT though anyway, and it is Columbus Day weekend so a lot of us have Monday off. (It's a public holiday in my home state) It was the best we could do and I don't think it will cut the guest list by too much, although I would be ok if they did. Do what makes the most sense for you and your guest list, and just know if it i a Fri or Sun, not everyone will be able to come or stay. If that's ok and the budget could really use it, go for it.

We are having a Sunday wedding. My step-cousin is having a Friday wedding. I personally would prefer a Sunday wedding to attend. If I work all day the last thing I want to do is party.

As a guest, I would prefer a Friday.

I've never been to a Friday wedding, but have gone to a couple Sunday weddings. Personally it depends on the feel you are looking for and your crowd. Sunday weddings are not going to be the party vibe as a Saturday wedding, due to people having to work on Monday. Friday weddings may not attract as many people since they are coming from work. I had always wanted a Friday wedding, not exactly sure why other than I just thought it seemed cool. After I got engaged and started planning, Saturday just seemed better for us. If I had to choose between Friday or Sunday, I would choose Friday.
