Ok, so my wedding is August 14th and I've been racking my brain for a very inexpensive wedding favor. My colors are siler & watermelon(hot pink). I decide to just go with candy but wanted them in my colors. Looking around they sure can be expensive!! It hit me today that Valentines Day is just around the corner and I can get kisses & dove chocolates with the wrappers being exactly the colors I want. So... to make a long story even longer... anyone have any experience with how long these might last if kept in un opened package? Freezing them? refrigerating them? Haven't been able to get a hold of Hershey yet. They would be sooo perfect and take one less thing off my mind but I dont want to be giving out stale candy.

If freezing for long periods of time, yes the cocoa butter will start to come out. If you have space in fridge... put them there.

You'll be able to get much better prices in your local stores rather than going to Hershey.

I'm doing Bliss for my favors and soon as they go on sale, I'm stocking up and putting into fridge. My wedding is end of June.

Thanks everyone for all your advice!! We are definitely going to get them now. For those of you who mentioned waiting till they go on clearance and are planning on doing that yourself... remember that the clearance stuff is usually pretty well picked over and may limit you. They are on sale right now and that is good enough for me because they still have a large selection and I can be sure I can get the ones I really want. Smiley winking
