Forgot wedding website on Save the Date

futuremrsrichardson, on February 19, 2018 at 6:48 AM Posted in Etiquette and Advice 0 14
Hi,
I forgot to add my wedding website on my save the date because it was not ready when they were printed. My uncle owns a printing business so him & my aunt couldn’t wait to print the cards for us. Can I add a sticker on the envelope or back of the card with this info? Or a little insert in the envelope? This is a destination wedding for most and we have our hotel blocks ready at this point. We also plan on having our invites done at 4 months as well to give everyone enough time.

We purposely did not put our website on the save the date. We used magnets and wanted them to be something people could use longer than just for our wedding. We also didn't have enough room on the magnets to fit the website and make it look good. We plan to just add a little paper insert with the website on it.

I think a sticker would be a great idea if you want the guests to have the website. We put our link on the back of the save the dates.

I think an insert would be great because you could give the website and explain what it is for!

This happens all the time, you're certainly not alone. A sticker on the back of the card (my vote is not on the envelope, I'd be worried my guests would tear right into it and throw away the envelope before they got to make a note of the web address (because that is probably what I would do)) or adding a small insert are both great options.

I ordered a custom stamp! Its, cheap, cute and you have it to use for anything through the rest of the planning process!

I planned on ordered custom stamps. You mean postage correct? Or like a literal ink stamp?

We ordered business cards from Moo, using one of their templates and put the website, Instagram account, and hashtag on it. I put them in the STD and in some other party invites (just not the wedding invite). I have some left that I’ll drop in the welcome bag too.

Like a literal ink stamp with your wedding website. I just stamped the back of each save the date.

We didn’t put the website on the save the date. I wanted a less modern look for it so we just did the town and date. I didn’t want people to jump the gun and put in their RSVP before they really knew if they could go. If someone asked I gave to them, but if people really wanted to see it’s a google search away.
they are on the invites since people can RSVP online as welll as our wedding block link and registry.
the girls will be putting on the bridal shower invites as well so it will be seen when the time comes

I purposely did not include the website on the STDs. We bought printable business cards and printed the website information on them. We included them in the envelope with the STDs.
