I was going to use shepherd's hooks until I decided not to decorate the aisle. I planned to drape tulle and ribbon from one to the next with flower petals on the ground lining the aisle.

I made tissue paper pompoms. Similar to these in the picture, and also had flower petals on the ground.

Cute. I like the draping idea but then I feel that guest can only go in and out one way? I just bought 20 hooks for $35 at JoAnn Fabrics. They are on sale for $1.79 right now. And they have a 15% off coupon.

I ordered some online from Joann's over the weekend. They were such a great price! I think I'm going to make cones from cardstock and put flowers or just baby's breath in them.

Aew that is a great idea as well. I was thinking of mini lanterns because I am doing lanterns for my centerpieces but it's looking like it will cost more than I want to spend.

I was going to attach a picture frame to each of them with childhood pictures of me and FH. Then I was going to drape tulle down each one. But shepherd hooks are expensive.

My florist suggested these to me, said they can double as centerpieces. I ended up picking tall arrangements instead with inserts that will double as low floral centerpieces. Really ended up saving money being able to use all of my outside decor inside. BUT I am also getting married on site.

@Amber lanterns would be really cute. I kind of looked at them for centerpieces, but they are more then I wanted to pay.

@Christine We thought about using pictures, but some of my aunt's would probably steal them! Plus, fmil in all her support of us, can't find any pictures of fh! Eta...it's too early I can't spell!

@Christine you can buy them online at JoAnn Fabrics. I only paid $35 (and change). They are only $1.79 right now.

@Aew you can buy them at Ikea for $7.99 each but if you order them online you also have to pay like $30 in shipping so I might drive to the closest one to get them. Great deal. As for the mini ones I would have to buy them somewhere else because they dont have the style I want in the mini size at Ikea.

@Amber our wedding was actually an extremely windy day, and we didn't have issues with them blowing away. They were certainly blowing around, but didn't blow away. We had them tied to Shepard's hooks, not on the chairs like in the picture. @Christine I found Shepard's hooks at the dollar store, and Joann Fabrics also has them on sale right now.

@Amber except the crazy shipping, that's not a bad deal.

@Natalie that is a good idea to tie them to the hooks. I feel that is a cost saving decoration that looks nice that I may consider.

@Jamgirl I also looked into lanterns like those. Where did you get yours?

This is what we're doing with ours, I'm not thrilled about the hooks but FH wanted them.

I bought purple Moroccan lanterns from a seller on eBay to hang. I got 8 for $56. The lanterns are black, the glass is purple.
