Football themed wedding

I am having a football themed wedding come September! Does anyone have any fun ideas to incorporate?!! My fiancé is a bills fan and I’m a dolphins fan. Our colors are light blue and orange. Any input is greatly appreciated!!!!

I went to a superbowl wedding and everyone changed for the reception (it was at a different venue) and the wedding party all had custom jerseys of their favorite teams and the bride and groom had something cute like Mr and Mrs last name I think, or maybe just both his last name? Or bride and groom? It was like 8 years ago but it awesome. They also threw decorated footballs instead of a bouquet and garter toss. I'm (and FH isn't either) not a football fan so I'm sure a lot of it was completely lost on me lol.

Instead if a guest book, maybe you guys could do a custom football jersey on your wedding colors with your new Last Name replacing the nameplate, and your wedding year replacing the numbers. Then have guests sign the numbers!

I love themes that aren't typical! I love this idea. I second the Mr and Mrs jerseys for changing into, and decorated footballs to throw instead of a bouquet. Also maybe a few football metaphors during the reading? To kind of pull it all together.

Someone else on here is doing that. They are using Lomarbi trophies for centerpieces!

When my cousin got married, my mom sewed a football ring pillow, with white satin fabric and used the bridesmaids' dress color for laces and trim, for the ring bearer! It was a big hit!

Pick a few ideas and use them sparingly. It is still a wedding and you want to be able to look back in future years and see "wedding" not "costume party".

One easy way to keep things on the elegant side is to spray paint theme items in a metallic- gold, silver,copper- whatever works for you. Or, you can add miniature painted footballs or football player figures from the dollar store as "chachkas" to the side of the centerpiece.

    Like this, only football related

There is a flower called "football mum" that comes in many colors.

That's such a fun idea!! There are a lot of different ways you can incorporate your theme: cake topper, guest book, favors, the wedding cake itself, table numbers, garter, cufflinks, or socks. I've also seen a few people use their fight song for the reception entrance which is really fun!

Are your guests also bills and dolphins fans? You could do two "competing" cakes:

It would be a stretch but maybe you could contact one if not both of the teams you love to try and see if the mascots could come to your wedding. Customized jerseys would definitely be a cool idea, and maybe getting a buffalo and dolphin cake topper would be cute!

I actually have the jersey custom made, we’re tossing a football instead of garter, we have a football field runway, each table is a different NFL team, we’re having tailgating instead of cocktail hour. Our cake is actually half bills half Dolphins. Our ring bearer is carrying a football.

Hi! I also have a September wedding that has a Wrigley Field baseball theme. We are having our guest place cards look like tickets to find their seats. I found them on Etsy!
