Food ideas for a beach wedding

Julia, on March 2, 2020 at 3:08 PM Posted in Wedding Reception 0 13
Me and my fiancé are looking into getting married at the beach where he proposed and wanting to know if any of you ladies are having beach weddings what kind of menu ideas you did!

I've noticed that anytime I have been to a beach wedding they typically do maybe like a beef chicken or a seafood option. Pending on which beach you are going to go there might be a restaurant nearby that you could have the reception dinner at. Just be mindful if you plan on eating outside as sometimes the time of the year the sand can pick up with the Wind.

For a veggie option, maybe bbq jackfruit burgers or sliders? With pineapple?

Beach bride here! We are doing a white fish with a lemon butter sauce and a beef option with a heavier sauce. Apps are mostly veggies but will also have mini crab cakes available.

Hey girl! Southern beach bride here! It was my dream to have an OBX seafood boil for my wedding but... whomp whomp... I have a ton of family/friends that aren't seafood lovers. It became too much trying to accommodate everyone, therefore, we decided to have a classic catered dinner.

For the hors d’oeuvres, we wanted to have a good mix of light & heavy options so we chose: Shrimp cocktail shooters, crudite cups, caprese skewers, a short rib slider, sweet & sour teriyaki meatballs.

For Dinner, we went with the classic chicken, beef & fish options, along with a couple sides available; one veggie & 3 starch options. The entrees are Filet Tips with Merlot Gravy, Classic Chicken Piccata & Fresh White Fish with Shrimp & White Wine Sauce. I felt like each entree could pair with any veggie pretty well however, I didn't think sweet potatoes and fish sounded appetizing, so I chose 3! Lol.

I would do fish and offer a different protein as well. Hawaiian BBQ is always very good!

    Hi fellow Beach Bride!

Yes our wedding will be a sunset ceremony in Ft Walton Beach Fl in May 2021. Our reception is going to be indoors and our menu selections will include one seafood selection (salmon) and roasted chicken. We're still deciding but I'm pretty sure we're going to hone in on salmon and roasted chicken.
