Ladies, I need some ideas for engravings, mainly for the cake server. I had something picked out but it was way too long and would have cost me more than the actual cutter set which is pretty expensive! I have tried to come up with cute sayings, but to no avail. I don't want just names and date.

We met in a Final Fantasy game online, if any of you can think of some cute sayings that would incorporate that, or just anything at all! I am horrible with quotes and stuff so whatever help I can get would be very much appreciated.

Honestly, I wouldn't worry about the cake server. You may, or may not, ever use it again. I did not personalize mine, when I got married...and my daughter didn't want one when she did last week.
There are a few items that are "fun" for the first year, then, they become something you never use again....those items are the cake knife, the toasting glasses and the guest book.
While I love having people sign a guest book, I think there are better ways to do it rather than a book, which you will look at a few times and then years later say "I have no clue where it is."

While I agree that you don't need them (we're just using the server that the venue has, since we have a great, though not attractive, cutco one at home), you could do something like "you fulfilled my final fantasy" perhaps?

We're just putting our names and dates on ours, but only because that comes free with the ones we're purchasing.

I like that, Danielle.
And I realize I don't "need" them. But, really, do I "need" any of this wedding stuff? The dress, the jewelry, the hairpiece, the food...the husband?! Oh wait.... Haha! ...anyway, it's all gonna be put away in some fashion lol!! Besides I have a new house and it's big and I need something to fill up all these dang shelves! Hahaha!

I just posted something about engraving our toasting flutes, I hadn't seen this post yet. I'm having trouble with what to put on the flutes? Or names and wedding date or what? Any suggestions? I never even though about engraving the serving set. Ours was super cheap though.

Not sure yet, though! And I can't decide if my serving set should match this or say something else entirely! I was trying to think of something cute FH and I say to each other but nothing comes to mind. I really liked Danielle's idea though!
