I had never intended to be married, I'd never even had a serious boyfriend. That all changed one day while I was playing a game called Final Fantasy XI Online back in May of 2005. I was only 16, and he 19, at the time, but from the moment I met this boy: Chris...I was hooked. We rapidly got to know eachother; spending all of our time chatting through IM's and in the game. I fell in love long before I knew what was happening to me. And of course we got married in the game! After almost two years of up's and down's, and all the in betweens that come with having an online/long distance relationship...we were finally able to meet in person for the first time. It was the best couple of days ever, and though it didn't last long enough, I will truly never forget it. The fact that he was from Delaware and went to college in Connecticut, while I lived at home in Florida never stopped us from pursuing our relationship. We visited each other when we could, and knew that we would eventually be married. Finally, in March 2008, just before I was headed back to Florida, after spending a week visiting him...he dropped down on one knee in the middle of the airport and asked me to marry him. Talk about waterworks! As if I hadn't been crying enough about leaving him...! Best day of my life to say the least. As the wedding day quickly approaches, all I can think about is how lucky I am to have been blessed to meet someone like him. He is the most perfect guy I could have ever asked for, and to think I just happened by chance to stumble across him in an online game with thousands of people playing... He is truly the love of my life, and I can't wait until we can be united as one.
