Flowers diy or vendor?

Caitlyn, on November 27, 2019 at 1:19 PM Posted in Do It Yourself 0 10
Hi everyone! I am a jack of many trades and have planned several weddings. But I’m worried I may give myself too much to do. If I could, i’d Be my own florist and photographer! I am thinking of doing my own bouquets. Worth the time and money?

I am planning on doing the same. I found it's way cheaper to do your own bouquet. And it's also really nice when people ask who did your flowers and you let them know you did it yourself.

I am also considering making my own bouquet along with my 4 bridal party.
I am also thinking of making my own centerpieces.
I have been watching a lot of YouTube channels and doing a lot of research on supplies.

I was going to order the flowers and do them myself, but I found that I was so stressed out trying to pick the flowers much less put them together and figure out how to keep them fresh, etc. I went with a local florist who is doing 4 bridesmaid bouquets, one bride bouquet, 11 boutonnieres, 4 corsages, a unity candle arrangement, 10 hydrangea balls for the pews, 19 garland greenery centerpieces with roses and hydrangeas, prep, set up and delivery to wherever we need them (we have three places she is going to have to deliver) for $1300 which is about the same price I would have spent to do it myself without the stress!! We are using hydrangeas and roses and my hydrangeas are purple which costs more. It is usually cheaper to do it yourself, but you may be able to find a local florist who can do what you want for the same price as you doing it yourself. I have no problem paying for someone else to do it if it's going to take stress off of me!

Flowers diy or vendor? 1 I definitely recommend doing your own bouquets if you’re so inclined! My bouquet was professional from a florist but my bridesmaids’ were DIY with grocery store flowers. We spent $30 for all 4 of them! The only reason I got mine from a florist was because I was nervous about how they’d turn out lol but if I had known how great they’d look I would’ve done my own too

I hired a reasonably priced florist in my area. I am also very artistic / handy and could have easily done my own. The extra stress day before or morning of and then storing all of it , not worth it to me

For my SIL we did our bouquets as bridesmaids and also hers, as well as the arrangements around the reception. It was really fun although it took time and some prior research. I think if you're patient enough, it's definitely worth it and is cheaper. We felt it was much more meaningful this way to have the memory of making them and I plan on doing the same for my wedding. 😊

I looked on Facebook marketplace and did a search for wedding. Found and bought 5 silk bouquets for $70. Might switch a few few out to match more of my pink color, but pretty much had 0 work to do.

For your own bouquets it could be simple like buying some already made ones at the craft store

My first marriage was when I was 19... it was all DIY and cost $1,000. My sister and friends did my bouquet and all of the flower arrangements. We ordered the flowers from the grocery store (Vons). I was happy with it!!! So I say go for it! I plan to make my own with Sola wood flowers this time.
