Flip Flops for the dance floor

My guest count is 90. I want to order flip flops for my guest to slip on during the reception. How many should I purchase and how many different sizes should I purchase.

A few people are saying to do size 7 and up on womens but honestly the issue with shoes is if you only do certain sizes you are going to have problems. I wear a 5 or 6. If there's only a 7 and larger and I try to wear it I'm going to twist my ankle. (Really, flip flops aren't that great for dancing in anyhow when it comes to safety.)

I love this idea! I just purchased 36 for my wedding on May 14. I only got women's though. I really don't feel like guys would use them. I ordered them from the Dollar Tree Website and they shipped to my closest store for free. Smiley winking They sell them by packs of 12 and sizes are small med and large of equal amounts I believe.

I can't wear flip flops or any sandal with a piece between the toe. I also really don't like them for more formal events. I think if someone wanted them to dance in, they would bring their own. Just as I would do with my slippers for driving when I used to wear heels.

The men won't wear them (unless you're having a beach wedding?), so only get for the women, and I would say about 1/2 of the women would so shoot for that. If you want to be safe maybe get a pair for each woman so that among the 1/2 or 2/3 who will wear them, there will be various sizes available.

I wouldn't bother either...flip flops are hard to dance in, I'd rather go barefoot personally

I went to a wedding in December where the bride provided flip flops and I was glad she did. I wore new 4 inch heels and was ready to get them off. I was glad we didn't have to go barefoot because the dance floor got a bit gross with spilled drinks.

Definitely don't buy them for the majority of your guests. The men obviously won't need them! It honestly feels like an unnecessary wedding industry add on. It's a nice thought but not as needed as say making sure your guests are well fed and have free celebratory drinks!
