First possible venue

We were locked in on location, the prettiness/vibe, and if it could handle our large guest list.

My 1 question would be their pricing lol. I finally figured out the best run places have clear pricing, no surprises.

I came prepared with a list of questions. Definitely ask
1) what price includes / will there be any other charges or taxes
2) is there a day of coordinator provided3) catering situation - need to use there's or can you bring your own4) alcohol situation - need to use theirs, bring your own (if so, need a licensed bartender?)5) any decorations not allowed - candles, hanging items on walls6) how long do you have the venue - cost for extra hours 7) will there be other weddings the same day8) any cut off time for music9) if you're going to have your ceremony there outside, is there a backup location10) how many people can it hold
I did research on the venue so I had more specific questions too and confirmed what I read online with them

This isn't necessarily a question I wished I had asked, but more something that's become very helpful: our venue does a ton, ton, ton of weddings, and because of that they have things in stock for use that we would have to rent for other venues. Chiavari chairs, for example. Just some other decor elements, too, that we've been slowly looking through. It's saving us some money and time because they have things we want without having to go to another vendor.

View Quoted Comment It went good. I like it, but dont love it. It's a bit far of a drive (about 45 minutes) from where I want to do the ceremony. Also they are connected to the restaurant next door so we went after for a few appetizers, and we were all a bit underwhelmed. However I love the feel of it so it at least gives me an idea of what I like.

That's great! Even though it may not be perfect for you, it will help give you an idea what is really important to you in a venue!
