I plan to do a first look. I think with a first look will help calm our nerves some before standing up in front of everyone. It also gives the opportunity to spend some quiet time together (minus the photographer tagging along of course). The hair and makeup is going to look its best at this time as well. Also, less worry on being rushed and pulled away from guests as often to take pictures. First look would also allow time for small talk and greeting guest during the cocktail hour. Which in turn I'm hoping will allow me to enjoy dinner as well ☺️

I don’t think we are gonna do first looks at the wedding. We haven’t completely decided yet if we are going to do them or not, there is gonna be so much going on considering I’m becoming a police wife that I think I want him to be fully surprised when I walk down the isle.

View Quoted Comment I’m excited also nervous we’ve been doing long distance the whole time we’ve been together so I’ve left most of the planning up to him and my soon to be in laws since the wedding will be in Minnesota. It’s hard to plan a wedding when your 1,500 miles apart and you both work night shift! I know a lot of people will judge our situation and everything but when you know you know and at the end of the day as long as we both are happy then nothing else matters. I may. I want to see his real immediate reaction and can get the compliment right away from him. If see me the first time in the ceremony, he may hold it up as so many people looking and he may get nervous and forget to react.

And then a first look with the groomsmen! I’ve always thought those were great, cute, and they can go back and basically build his anticipation to see me ❤️

Hello, i havent heard of first looks but i total agree with you. I want him to be jaw dropping shocked when he sees me in my wedding dresss.
